My after market JVC head unit went dead, wont give me back my CD...damnit..
I replaced the bose speakers in the rear, with cheapy 6X9's and now need a head unit for my 1989 vert.
For my Birthday, my kids got me a off brand head unit "single din" has some sort of DVD screen like 3'' in the middle, i despise it. At night the glare from the *****, and off button, horribly distract me while i drive.
i took it back....not for me.
Any suggestions, all i want is a simple CD player, few frills, and no annoying glares....any suggestions? around 150 to 200...
Thanks for the advise, driving these machines can be fun and a handful, last thing i need is pizzing around with tiny azz buttons whilst going head long over a guard rail.
Thanks, I went with the pioneer, un-plugged one, plugged in the other, heres my problem, Everything sounded fair, with the 6X9's in the back, i used the wires that were there...?? i cut the pink/and brown wires, and just used the speaker wires.
Soo i decided to pull the door panels off, unbolted the bose unit, fished the wires off the unit, cut the pink/black wires...wired up some front speakers....sounds good....then..the head unit cuts off...and then on??
It will play at lower volume, but turn it up...and it starts cutting out?
So i reckon i cant use the exsisting wires...why did the back speaker work?..then when i wired up one front speaker, everyting sounded ok..then the last speaker...it went kapooey?
