Do the current good head units support full active mode?
I see all kinds of support for movies, etc. but was wondering if anyone had a good head unit they liked that supports full active mode internally. I know many have time correction, parametric eq's, and subwooder outputs but I'm interested in internal electronic crossovers to cut down on overall bulk and complexity....
I'm still kicking around what I want to do with the drivers.
I'd love to do the Dynaudio 362 set, but that's a healthy chunk of change.
Otherwise, I'm leaning towards either an 8 or 10 midbass in the doors with tweeters on the a pillars with possibly just 5.25 mids in the back for fill.
TBH, I was born with a bit of hearing loss, so my system preferences run towards loud, dynamic and clear. I wear $5k worth of hearing aids that suck for music and get taken out for car jamming.
Hmn, I wonder if it can be EQd to compensate for the weak spots in your hearing..
You cant fit system 362 in the door of a vette. system 342 yes, but the thing iwth dynaudio is the "midbass" speaker is actually a midrange speaker, and isn't up to the task of "bad *** midbass"
