speaker choice with AVIC-N3
I just finished installing a Pioneer AVIC-N3 system in my 04 Coupe, I also added a aux 12 disc CD changer and an XM radio receiver, my question is, I was told that the front speakers would not work with this system but last night when I hooked up power everything seemed to work fine.
Does anyone know why the front speakers may not be compatible with this head unit?

Hopefully one of the guys versed in C5 will chime in for ya (your thread title doesn't really describe the issue well) but it's not a function of compatibility with your head unit. From what I recall reading around here, when you install an aftermarket head in a C5 the front door subs get cut off because they don't get triggered by the head.
Check the C5 Audio FAQ stickied at the top of this section - practically certain this issue is addressed there.

correct. check out the c5FAQ sticky up top. but basically, the subs are turned on by the pcm or one of the modules and when you replace the HU you lose that. You have to buy an adapter to keep the stock bose subs that are in the doors. the speakers you are hearing are the 3.5" twiddlers in the doors. the specific adapter is listed in the FAQ
