I have seen many posts on how to get at the door and dash speakers, but how do I get to the rear speakers to swap them out?
I am considering JL TR350-CXi for the doors and dash and JL TR525-CXi for the rears. Has anyone tried these speakers?

Removing the rear covers is pretty straight forward, First prop up the hatch so that there is no tension on the lifts, With a screwdriver you can move the spring clip and the lift will pop off the ball. Then there are 4 plastic pins the need to be popped out. then just pull out the cover out from the bottom. Remove the speakers, Connect the new speakers (I won't go into that, you have to make the plugs work) and then bolt them back in. Cake x 2. Black is ground in the rear and green is ground in the front.
I don't remember anybody mentioning they've used the JL's but you might want to search in General on the model # as well as this section. The front's I wouldn't be very worried about fitting, but the rear may have depth issues. Crutchfield shows a bunch that fit and show that the JL's do NOT fit. Crutchfield's accuracy is sometimes off because they don't show something as fitting unless they've verified it. So if they say it fits you can be pretty sure it will, if they say it won't it's a cointoss. They say depth is 2.5" on the JL's but the deepest speaker they show fitting is an Alpine component that's 2 3/16".
My take is STILL that if you're going to try a speaker swap before you dump a bunch of money into speakers is to just swap the door speakers and see what you think. 90% of what you'll get by swapping all the speakers will be accomplished by just replacing the doors and you may be content with only doing that much.
