I've been browsing around this section of the forum to look for ideas on upgrading the sound on my c6, but I've come across some terminology that I'm unfamiliar with.
One term is "Qcb." I read in some of the threads that many of you wanted the Qcb to be around 0.7 - 0.8 (i have no idea what this means)
I'm pretty newb to all this car audio stuff. All I know is that I want my music to sound clear and clean while not breaking the bank.
Are there any recommended sites where I can read up on the basics of car audio? It all seems so technical
it's not a simple concept to explain without a ton of other material. Best I can offer... the smaller a box, the higher the Q goes and the more boomy and less-refined it sounds.
The larger a box gets, the lower a Q goes and the faster and tighter the sound is.
For classical, 0.577... for Jazz... 0.65-0.75... for decent-quality rock: 0.7-0.85 for R&B/Rap: 1.0-1.2
You never want below 0.7 in most cases and never above 1.2.

Hrm alright, so how would I figure out the Qcb value for a particular box and a subwoofer?
