POWERED SUB questions
Ok please forgive my ignorance but I know nothing about audio systems. I am very happy with the stock non-Bose system but just want a little more bass. I was thinking about getting a powered sub,powered because I don't want to wire an amp separately. Are these things hard to install ? Do I need to run wires to the head unit or can I tap into the speakers somehow ? Also, what kind or brands are decent ? I am not expecting to shake the neighbors just want a little more thump. Please give me some advice on this. thanks

i assume a c6
you run power wire to battery, the right way it to tap in behind the radio but its very easy
the only self powered sub i can recommend is the infinity basslink

rear the C6 faq theres a ton of good info there. Basically you tap the low level output and run that right to the rca's on your powered subs
tapping the rear speakers is bad because the signal there is highpassed... meaning the low frequencies which the sub plays are cut off
