Default GPS recommendation?

I am thinking of purchasing GPS for my car. I do not mind spending $$$ for good quality.
What features should I be looking for?
I find TomTom ONE at a review site, it looks nice.

A decent deal for it is only $140.

Has anyone had it? How does it work?
Or can you recommend some nice GPS to me?
Thanks!!!

I've never used a TomTom, but the knock on them has always been their maps. There are 2 major map providers out there, Navteq and another company who's name I don't remember. Navteq is more expensive but better.. TomTom has always used the other company to keep their prices lower.

My take whenever anybody asks this is "Get a Garmin." I've used quite a few different NAV systems and their software is the easiest to use, displays are easy to read and the routes they select make sense.

I use the Mio DigiWalker C220 in my beater and the Eclipse AVN66100 in the C6. I love them both.
