Last year when I had my Roush Mustang I backed into a metal garbage can, that scratched my car. The next day I went to check out a back-up camera, but liked the sensors better that beep as you get closer to a object. Only reason I did not get it, I was selling my car. Good luck in your search.
Hummmm... not sure if you can just add a camera to your HU if you don't have Nav... have you looked in the C6 FAQ?
I think that there are a few companies that offer a camera and rear view mirror with a small LCD screen inside of it. It's a little bulky, but it would probably work for you. (Except it may cover your On-Star buttons on your mirror?!?!)
Give Dave Ekkel a call at 616-283-7294. A friend of his at the assembly plant (Buyers Tour 11/29) gave me his name and a brochure. Camera screen is in the rear view mirror-really neat. Know he would be interested in helping you. Don't know anymore or the $$.
believe it or not our local walmart used to carry a back up camera that came mounted in a liscnse plate holder and it wirelessly connected with a small monitor you could mount over your visor all for less than $200 I have a stock unit in my q56 but i think all the suv's should have back up cameras
its a cool idea and i was gonna get one too, because the blind spot is kinda bad, but the installation process kinda scared me. I dont want any holes drilled anywhere!
