Default IPOD to Satellite Converter?

I have a 2000 Vert with a IPOD to car cable installed. Sounds and works great. I would like to add a XM Satellite receiver (XpressRC), but I would just like to unplug the IPOD and plug in the XM when I want to listen to satellite radio.

Does anyone know if there is a cable that will allow me to do this? I realize I will need to plug the satellite radio antenna in every time.
Thanks in advance!

WHOOPS! I need to read the pages I Google! Here's a link to the cable that might get it done for you.

I don't see any commercial products available to do that, but if you're at all handy with a soldering iron you should be able to put something together. What you essentially need to do is get an iPod female connector (the connector inside the iPod itself) and solder on the R+, L+ & common leads to a male 1/8" stereo plug. Then you would plug that into your iPod adapter instead of the iPod. Only thing I'm not sure about is your interface - if it doesn't detect an iPod it may not be available.

This place has the connector and pinout:

This guy made something exactly like this for a Bose Sounddock, but it's the same principle:

Good luck!

Thanks Komoman! That cable looks like it is exactly what I'm looking for. I've contacted them to see what they think.

Any results on this. I got the XpressRC for Christmas and it is still in the box and I am ready to connect it.
