Starting Over... Focal? CDT? Image Dynamics? HELP!
btw: how's this amp to power everything? http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=6237

Audison amps are extremely nice... But what's the point?
PDX will do nicely, or ARC KAR series if you want a little better sound with a bigger footprint.
Arc Audio KS 900.6 is a very nice amp for less than half of that.

And forget about "image tweets" just install the regular tweeters correctly and you won't need anything silly like that.
in my case, I put mine in the pillars.
CDT crossovers emphasize frequencies over 10k to account for off axis installs, so you might not want them aimed at you.
I'd probably start by putting them halfway up the pillars aiming directly at each other.
As for the PDX amps, I have not found the stage to suffer in my truck, and I have a 4.150 making 164w per channel on my 4 Pioneer 720 prs drivers without issue. I also have a kickpanel location which equalizes pathlengths, which IMO is the largest influence on stage in a car, but that is just my 2c.
If you take the time to do a little research on this forum, read through the "what do you run" thread, and audition some speaker sets you will get good results. For MOST (read not all) people, a set of 6.5" components with around 100w to them with aimable tweeters and a single 10-12" sub in the back with around 300w will appease most people and be a huge improvement over the factory blose setup. Pick a HU with the features that you want, pick up a little sound deadening for the doors and rear hatch (and you can do a LOT more in this area if you want) and enjoy it. If you want the next level of listening experience, you are going to need processing or custom built passive crossovers, likely A pillar tweets or a kickpanel setup of some sort, 2 or 3 way in the front stage etc etc etc. I consider myself a 9 out of 10 "audio" guy, and I have come to the realization that without custom DASH rebuilds and other ridiculous amounts of work, the car is only going to be so good, while the house can be setup and dialed in with far less effort and very solid results, even at a much lesser knowledge base.
Eventually, almost all "car audio" guys end up with great home systems and "good" car setups.
