I want to take the cd changer out of my 2000 C5 and put it in a Z06. I'm pretty sure this can be done, but I wanted to find out what parts/connectors I needed to take out of the C5 to make sure I have all the parts I need to put it in a Z06-- can someone please help me out?
Thanks.
Now you know why GM sells two different CD changers for the C5. The RF one is much faster for the dealer to install.
Many people have done this install. I would got to the general or tech section and keep posting until someone responds.
that's exactly what I am doing.
I really don't want an RF interface for the changer. this radio has changer controls built into it and I would rather use it that way.
I will make it work, I'm not out of options...........yet! :D
I'll just get the service manual and find the wires in the harness, I can get the 3 wire connector from a corvette junk yard and wire it in myself, if I have to!
Re: C5 CD changer in Z06-- will it work??? (RPOZ4Z)
one other thing.
you can bet that when I do finally get this thing to work, I will be posting a tech tip on what to do if you do not have the changer connectors.
