The IVA-W505 is not out yet. I hear it should be out in April. I am still waiting, but I have most of the work done.
The passenger seat does not rub, but I have Caravaggio seat not stock. The amp is small though, you might want to get the specs and see if you have the clearance.

I just put an AVIC-D3 in my '07 using the Scosche GM09SR interface. It workd great. I was planning on using the GMAH24B & GMAHCM since others on the forum had reported how well they worked, but the place I got the D3 from gave me a great deal on all of the accessories, so I ended up with the Scosche. Until yesterday I hadn't heard anything either way concerning the GMOS-04, but then I got involved with this thread and we eventually figured out that all of his problems were due to the instructions that came with his GMOS-04. Just a warning, if you get the GMOS pay close attention to what they tell you to do with all of the wires.
The DD mounting kit is needed. There are a few different brands available, but all of the ones that I could find look the same (plastic POS). You just have to live with it unless you want to fabricate your own or sand down and repaint one that you buy.
I would imagine that you can control the sub level from the HU, so unless you find a good spot to hide the **** I'd skip it.
I used the Pioneer version of the PAC SWI-JACK on the D3, it works great. My only tip for that is to program the 1-6 button as MUTE, you won't be sorry.
Your overall system looks like it will kick some serious azz

I don't have OnStar, do you? It's standard in all 08's right? I think that's the difference. 805ZO6 posted that they recommended the Scosche GM-21SR for his car, that's probably what you need.

My 08 does have Onstar. Not sure if that makes a difference but there is no Onstar network in Australia anyway. I wonder what interface will suit my car then? Any ideas would be appreciated.

You could get the same interface as Mark. You don't need to plug in the Onstar since you will not be using it. Or could get the same one as I did. I would also call or send an e-mail to Sonicelectronix

Been a while since my IASCA sound off judge days, been out of touch. Does anyone make an aftermarket double din unti that fits a C6Z that doesn;t have navigation but has a built in disc changer????? I like the look of the screen but would like the small package of indash CD changer in the Z after driving my CTS-V for the past 2 years.

Did you end up getting your 505 yet? How did you install that gmos4 with your aftermarket amps?

I still haven't had a chance to install my 505 yet work kind a pick up so really limited on time I also bought the the Blackbird to fill that open space! I'm doing just the HU swap keeping the stock Bose on there only for a short time. I would like to know what interface you are using also how involved it is? Also I picked up one of those Alpine bypass module's

Chime module: Scosche DCGMCM2B12 / DCGMCM2B12B
I installed the interface, so far so good. I need to finish with the chime module and work out the kinks with Onstar and speakers.
It took me a lot of time to figure out the system, but that was all learning. If you have some direction, it wouldn't be too hard at all. I will do a write up once I get all the details finished.

Chimes-> they will come out of chime module not speakers
Onstar-> as long as you keep the OEM amp installed, and center speaker Onstar will come out. This is with the after-market amp and speakers. So your stock setup may vary.
