LizardSkin Original Ceramic Insulation is a water-based composition of high-grade acrylic binders with air filled reflective and sound absorbing ceramic particles. LizardSkin is non-toxic and Class A fire-rated. LizardSkin is an innovative easily applied coating system designed to diminish both heat and sound. Applied by spray method it forms a sealed, seamless and flexible black membrane, perfect for cars and trucks, street rods and customs, race cars, buses, refrigerated trailers, RVs, motor homes, experimental aircraft, and high end audio installations---wherever heat and noise are a problem. LizardSkin is completely water soluble, meaning easy clean-up with just soap and water. Each 2-gallon container covers 46-50 square feet with .040-.060 in. thickness.

definitely should be fine for stiffening panels and adding some mass.

i would use that in conjunction with a viscoelastic dampener.

though secondskinaudio has some paint on stuff that's very highly rated (does not stick to bare fiberglass.)

Call around your local car custom shops, the one here in Oklahoma City if you buy the stuff from them they will loan you the spray gun.

I put togeather a 72 Chevelle/LS1 and used something like that on the floors. The only thing I was looking to do was keep the floors cooler. Man, It worked well. I don't think the sound deading would be anything like Dyno matt or things like that.
