Do you think this is a good security device?
I know if a pro wants the car, they will get it or just tow it.
But this will defeat even a dealer cut key theft.

A cleverly connected and concealed kill switch wired in to your clutch (or park position switch in autos) will do the same thing for about $390 less. You just have to make sure you splice into the wire in a spot hidden behind the dash somewhere that can't be easily accessed. I've even seen DIY instructions for how to use a 'switch' that just detects the presence of your finger above it. If you mount that gizmo in the door or under the armrest your car can't be started unless you know exactly where to stick your finger

I can't find the one I was thinking of, but click here for something that uses a reed switch and a magnet instead of your hand or finger.
