I'm installing a new headunit, sub and amp in a friends 98 C5 coupe. After reading through this section, it seems like the only thing I'll need to keep the install simple is the gmcrv2 soundgate wire harness and a headunit mounting kit. Am I reading everything correctly or will I still need something else?
that gmcrv1 allows u to keep the stock subs, you could honestly get the regular gm wiring harness and loose the stock subs since u are putitn an aftermarket one in

True, makes sense. Will the regular gm harness provide the ground, acc, and 12V power wires or will I still have to tap into these seperately from different locations. Also, do you have a part # and website where I can get this harness and the antenna adapter?
antenna adapter is standard gm. the acc wire you have to tap in the footwell or ignition harness even if you get the soundgate adapter. the harness is the generic late 90s gm one metra 1858 harness.
