Whoofer/Tweeter Polarity
I'm in the process of replacing the stock 3.5" door speakers with a set of BA 3.5"s. I have a 2002 C5 coupe with a stock tuner.
I realized after finishing one door that the polarity on BAs is opposite to the stock speakers. The blade connectors are the same size as the stock units so I assumed the polarity would be the same as well...
Should I go back in and rework the leads to match the polarity on the new speakers or does it not matter? Since the woofer (stock) and tweeters are now out of phase does it impact sound quality?
I would appreciate your feedback..

To further complicate things, only until very recently, the industry had no standard for the polarity of the diaphragms in microphones as well as speakers.
Great question.
