Mounting depth
Does anyone know the mounting depth on the door speakers? I read somewhere the door speakers up front where 10''. Is this correct? If so, I found a shallow mount Rockford Fosgate 10" sub (http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=5820 ) I would like to try. I see most of you have went to a 6.5 inch door speaker, but I was curious to see what the group thinks.
Thanks in advance.

There's a solid 3.5-4" of mounting depth, but doors make LOUSY sub enclosures, so I don't recommend putting a sub in that spot. Additionally, there's really nowhere else to mount a good midbass for component speakers that will crossover well to a sub so that really dictates you use that big space for a 6.5" or 7" midbass, not a sub.
It was a shot in the dark, for sure, but I was wondering how the factory pulled it off. I plan on doing a fiberglass enclosure behind the seats, and am researching my options.
Thanks again!
