lets start off by saying i am not electronically inclined. Now my current setup:
64W Head unit
2 Sony Xplod 45W RMS 5.25" speakers mounted in kickpanels
my problem, as you could imagine is that the sound isnt all that great, but it is impractical right now for me to change the head unit right now, what are my options? I have heard an amp will work
I suggest some rear speakers, a sub and amps for all sets of speakers. Depending on what you are looking for, rears would some lows and mids. The amp would just make them sound clearer and louder. If you want to do it cheap, and I know lots will complain, get a Amplified Bazooka tube for 100 at Circuit City. I just did and what a difference. I am going to add a 4 channel amp to my Infinity speakers in the next few months.
best bet, component speakers and an amp. sound deadening will also drastically improve the sound quality. I don't agree with adding rear speakers though but adding a sub will help and allow you to crossover the front speakers a bit higher and improving their sound and power handling
