I was at a film festival yesterday and between films sat in my '01 Vert and listened to the stereo/iPod for about 40 minutes. Then I tried to start the car and the battery was almost dead. Had to get a jump. Doesn't this seem a little bogus?
The battery is an 8 month old Delco. I guess because I have a D3 and amp/subwoofer it must use a lot of juice, but I was a bit surprised and pissed.
What do you all think?
Mine gets killed pretty quick during tuning sessions. I keep them to ~20 minutes tops... that's with about 1250 watts potential... obviously much less in use.
idk that sounds like it drained pretty quick to me
in my mustang (not a vette i know) i would run the stereo at moderate to loud levels for well over an hour while washing cars and workin on stuff in the garage. 1200wrms substage and 100wrms x4 for the speakers and the car always fired right up
