I'm looking for a replacement radio for my 74 convert. Something that fits into the existing template without cutting.... yet new technology (like an am-fm cassette). Does anyone have any ideas? :seeya

This will give you "new" technology.
Though tapes have been dead for 10 years and most cars don't even come equiped with them.
Though FM is slowly being phased out by XM
and AM died in the 70's and only offers football and boring talk radio.
You could do a newer technology like the 80's CD thing. But then you gotta cut.
Why not just buy the panel and cut the replacement. You could always go back. Or you could mount the deck in the trunk and run it off a remote on your steering wheel.
This way you wouldn't need to cut and you get CD, MP3 and XM capabilities if you want them.
The decks on the site I sent you cost about as much as a top of the line pioneer CD with all the bells and whistles including remote.
Pretty soon you'll want ......ABS?

Thanks for the plug 92TripleBlack. Just incase you wondered, we are working on some "newer" technology stuff too.;) Ill keep everyone posted when that stuff is available. :D
Hey Radio Joe, Looking forward to the coming soon stuff. The biggest improvement to what is there already would be to have some of these units equiped with CD changer controls that would work with good comercial units like pioneer or kenwood and to have at least 4 RCA ouptuts for amps. The one's I've seen so far are only adaptable to no-name changers and most only have 2 rcas.

We have two radipo style CURRENTLY available. Basic and Upgrade. Both have 2 RCA style preouts, but the upgrade unit has CD Changer controls that will control KENWOOD Cd changers. That is already available from us. Email me if you want more specific Information. joesclassiccarradio@yahoo.com
