Hey guys. Doing an amp install and after several searches, I couldn't find the answers, hopefully one of you know. I'm trying to install an amp with 2 subs.
1. Where did you route the power wire for the Amp through? I wasn't sure if there was an "easy access" through the fire wall, although there never is.
2. Where did you hook up your remote wire for the amp?
3. I bought the PAC OEM-1 GM24 Adapter to hook up my amp, I bought the adapter for the head unit. I "thought" that was the right adapter. I'm starting to think otherwise. Now, the sound it puts out of my subs is something that should be put out to mid range speakers, or even tweeters. Do I have the correct adapter, or do you have to get the low range speaker wires AFTER they go through the Bose amp?
Thanks in advance!!

Stolen from the above c5 raido sticky look their first...
This shows the battery and tape removed, and the red power wire inserted:
This shows a longer view: I have tie-strapped the power wire, and retaped the wires going through the grommet:
How can i add a switch to retract my antenna? (from z06vette forum)
I added a 12vdc rocker switch with a lamp at the console to: 1. Normally on, this will allow the antenna to rise and fall with the radio switch even when only playing CDs. 2. Off with this switch and the radio switch(green wire which goes throught the switch) will not allow the antenna to rise...switch off). This allows the CD player to be used and the antenna to be down. Without the switch, the antenna is always up even when playing the CD only. The switch is Radio Shack no. 275-712 Lighted SPST Rocker Switch... ~$3.00 I spliced into the three wires going to the antenna on the passenger side, and ran three wires to the switch: 1, from the accessory (green or pink wire) to the power lead on switch; 2, load the wire going back to the three wire green or pink wire that was cut; and 3, the black or ground wire for the lamp obtained by splicing into the black ground wire in the three wire going to the antenna. Whew, it took a while to find the green/pink wire needed.
How do I get the acc power for my h/u?
if you look in the passenger footwell, pull out the cover and look in the top left corner. There will be a small plug with three wires (orange, yellow, & black) that are just taped up. Check out this schematic to see which fuses they use, but the yellow wire is the +12V switched, and that I am sure of.
or you can use fuse 22
PICS DIDN'T SHOW..... Just look at the c5 sticky above.
1. There is a grommet already in the firewall right behind the battery. Take out the battery and you'll see it right there with a large group of wires going through it. Lube up your power wire with some WD40 and it will slide right through.
2. The remote turn on goes to the dark green wire on pin A8 on the black harness. The blue wire (pac) goes there and your remote turn on will go to the only wire sticking out from the adapter. The Adpater is plug and play besides the remote turn on.
Most of the above doesnt apply to you cause you have a C6
Pull the battery out you will see the grommet to run your power wire through it will come out under the dash
For remote turn on go to the fuse box under the passenger side dash. There is a smaller fuse box to the side remove the black cover over it. there where be a windshield wiper fuse put a fuse tap on that and that will get you turn on for your amp
you have the right harness, go into the c6 faq and read up on what you have to do to mod it
do me a big favor can you take a pic of the fuse box area with that secondary fuse box cover removed with your wire tapped so i have it for reference to show others

Here is the fuse box on the far right hand side with the cover still on:
Here is the windshield wiper fuse "tapped" to allow a wire
to be connected to it.
Here is the fuse with some wires tapped into it. As you can see, I have lots of wires tapped into the fuse.

I know... I was going to do that... but realized I forgot it after I uploaded the pictures... man... I'm being made a fool of left and right!!
No not a fool. You chose to not do the electrical tape to show off your twisting abilities in stuffing two wires in the connector. Real men don't hide behind electrical tape.

Hahahahahahahahah. Yeah... thats EXACTLY what I meant!!
Besides the fancy text it appears that some of the wires look slightly different, not sure why...
the only thing I can think of is maybe because yours is a 07, AND a Z06. So you have 2 years difference in there along with a Z06 difference. Thats my best guess.

Blackhawk do I have to be your translator?!? What you really meant was that you have reconfigured everything for optimal setup. One, you don't need all the extra space and weight and this is just yet another one of your ways of showing off your expertise!!

Hahahahaha. Yeah... my bad.. thats EXACTLY what I meant to say!! Besides... how do you think I power the flux capacitor? IT definitely doesn't take AA batteries!!!
