Default Bose problem...long but need help!!!

A while back I asked a question when all of a sudden my bose in my 1992 just stopped. I got an answer which was AWESOME describing what to do out of the service manual. (quoted below)

I took the dash apart and see the relays....which leads me to the problem. My car had one of those talking alarms wired into it before I bought it, so the wiring is a little...well..."custom". So, it looks like some of the relays were moved into a different position from stock.

His info below describes the circuit colors, which I assume are wires?!?! Am I correct in assuming when he said "orange" he meant black with orange stripe? Also, he does not list a black w/ white stripe. I have one of them. All else is the same. My connector is as follows. Being as it was in backwards, etc....I want to make sure I have the order correct....

Top horizontal terminal - Black w/ orange
Left side vertical terminal - Black
Middle horizontal terminal - Black w/ white
Right side vertical terminal -Black w/ orange
Bottom vertical terminal - Pink

Do these coordinate with his numbers below or do I have it upside down????

Thanks,
-Rick

The exerpt from the manual reads as follows. I have Book 1, but not book 2...so I don't have access to this info. It read as follows...

"92 Corvette right? It sounds like the amplifier relay. It is located below the LH side of the I/P, near RH side of the instrument cluster. If you take the bottom carpet hush panel off under the steering column, you can look up underneath the dash. The amp relay is the one on the right closest to the steering colum.

The relay connector looks like this:
Code:
2
1 3 4
5

CKT 40 is orange.
CKT 151 is black.
CKT 143 is pink.
CKT 360 is orange.

*Disconnect the relay.
*Ignition "on"
*Radio "on"
*Connect a test light between terminal "1" or the relay connector and ground. Does the test light come on?

Dude, you need someone with a '92 FSM to help you, I would post your question over on C4 Tech. I will say that I doubt the relay got moved very far. On my car, the relays are mounted to the support for the dash, I would think they would be have to move.

Good luck, Randy
