It still can be done just takes a little more work, you have to pull out your head unit, and install the ipod2car adapter, make sure the switches are set correctly and put it all back together. Pretty easy. I did mine in under an hour going very slowly taking my time and being careful.
Also i saw a thread somewhere recently where a guy who didnt have the cd changer, was changing bulb in tail light and found the cd changer cable, you might want to try searching for that thread. Could save you a lot of time and work, make the 45 min install a 5 min install.
