Viper Alarms, Transmitters
I have a Viper 790xv, and I need a new transmitter. I see they've come out with newer ones, and I know they do way more than mine. Can you use a newer transmitter with an older alarm?

The original transmitter (478v) for the 790xv has been discontinued. You can use the newer one (479v) but you will loose some of the functions of the alarm. You will no longer be able to panic the alarm, or access channel 4, but every thing else will work.
