Default C6er where have you been pointing them?

For those who have installed component speakers in the doors where have you been aiming the tweeters?

tweeters shouldn't be pointed the same, brand to brand.

High frequencies radiate in straight lines.

Tweeters reproduce high frequencies and so they should point to the driver's ears.

(Unless of course, you were sensitive to high frequency sounds - then point them away.)

The aiming of your tweeters are highly dependent on your system setup.. crossover, mid placement, dash of car, etc.

You aren't taking into account off axis response. Some are really "hot" in high frequencies to make up for off axis mounting.

No, they don't. Tweeter placement is highly dependent on the tweeter itself, its distortion character and how close to its response limitations it's used. High quality tweeters (of which there are very few) can be run directly on-axis, however the limitations of the vehicle's interior make doing so a compromise between response and appropriate staging.

This isn't a simple question.

Take a look at my C6 Front Stage threads for one possible solution.

higher frequencies are more directional but that doesn't always mean you want to have them aimed at your ears.
