Default Avic install question

Ok so ive read the D2 install thread by nomad quite a few times, and pretty much have everything to swap out my stock nav/blose for better stuff(imo i love music lol). Ive been told though since im not gonna use bose speakers, nor am i gonna use onstar that i can skip the bose harness adapter and buy a reg c6 harness adapter to wire up to a D3.

Any confirmation on this? I dont doubt the man whose told me because ive seen his work, but it was on a C5, and the other person im having installing this wasnt aware of this.

you could get the regular gm harness and i can get you the model number but be forwarned u will loose warning chimes (if u just wanna keep chimes get GMCO) and you will loose rap power you will have to tap power in the fuse box

Use an interface module, it just makes life easier, especially with getting the ACC power output your aftermarket head will need. You're buying a lot of problems by trying to save that $100.

I was just wondering. Peripheral the only person who sells the adapter then? Local circuit ****ty said they carry one from scosche, but when i called scosche directly they were dumbfounded.

Ok instead of openign another thread figure id use this as well. Gonna order the bose adapter from peripheral, sometime next week.

Saw this picture as well in nomads thread and was wondering if any recommendation for anyone who can build a box like this in central florida?

I have 2 brand new in the box JLW6 12s with 2 Kenwood 1800w amps for them at work waiting to go in. Buddy of mine says to have to reg boxs an call it a day, and a kid who comes to my work works in the circuit city across the street even admitted on a job like that they would love to give a outrageous price.
