i have a pioneeravh-p4000dvd unit and the installer hooked up the rear outputs to the sub the other day. is this possible to mess up my sub in anyway? now i got the car back and all speakers work but my sub is not hitting like it used to. maybe they didnt adj the sub or maybe they messed it up any ideas to if that can destroy it.

When you say they hooked up the rear outputs, do you mean they tapped the back speakers for the signal? And if so, what's feeding the rear speakers, the stock amplifier or did you install new speakers and an amp for the front & rear as well? If they tapped off the rear speakers and you just replaced the head unit, the signal they used to feed the amp is high-passed and isn't feeding your sub the very signals it needs to reproduce - on other words they took the easy way out instead of researching the job.
this is what they told me. there are front and rear outputs on unit and the rears they hooked up to the sub which is an infinity bass link t which has an amp built in to it. and it was being feed the full range not the jsut the bass. everything is stock except the infinity bass link t and the head unit. and the rear speakers when played where really low and barely playing. now the sub jsut sounds different and does nto hit and is not deep like before. so disgusted with this place. if anyone lives in ny do not go to movin on sound and security.

At this point more detail is needed - is your car a C5, C6, etc? If it's a C5, when you replace the head unit there is something that needs to be done to trigger the door subs - there's info on that in the C5 Audio FAQ stickied at the top of this section. It could be what you're hearing now is ONLY the output of the Bass Link instead of that plus the doors.
c6 08. i have to try and bring to my original guy tomorrow to fix it jsut is not hitting the way it was hopefully he can adj it or something. thanks for your help though.
