Final amp rack install. Warning: Bling deficiency.

And then...
After letting the car sit in the garage for a week while exploring my options, I decided to go the hidden wire route.
1/2" board, routed out:

Being 1/2", I couldn't cross two power wires, and I didn't want to cross power and RCA so I had to design around that.
Power wire detail:

I wanted to use silver for tweeters, blue for woofers, and blue/silver for subs. I couldn't find all those colors, so I bought 18ft of blue/silver monster cable. I had to "devein" the stupid clear tube on the wire, then pair blues, silvers, etc so the color scheme is as I wanted it. Marked negative with heatshrink. Marked "left" with silver paint on the heatshrink. I feel dirty for buying monster :/
Everything terminated with a quick disconnect, for ease of install.

Nice and clean. As light as possible.
The carpet runs all the way around it, so no worries about wire bleeding.
The bump under the right amp is the blade fuse for the EQ.
Ever seen an amp rack mounted to rear speaker locations? This required NO drilling through the carpet. 100% safe - no chance of hitting the gas tank which is directly under the rack.

Amp cover: Stealth ftw.

Or possibly doing the amp covers in Lemans Blue... One says CORVETTE one has the Commemorative Edition logo... But not being able to paint the EQ would present an issue with that.
Nice work man, hopefully you will leave it alone now and enjoy it
Did you make it down to Marv's? Really bummed I missed it this year, didn't have the vette system together, it still had the race tires on it from the last autoX, and I had about 6 other events that I could not get out of. I will be there next year with a Nav system for the 2500 and a HAT front stage though
Need to figure out a sub idea still though in the crew cab ... don't like my options so farFej
Just one screw on that side. It doesn't move at all, even without the screws. But we know how good car accidents are at moving stuff. worst case scenario, if the brackets broke, there is 0 slack in the power wires, and almost no slack in the other cables.
I gotta make the next one, hopefully Marv has it again, as I know it is a ton of work.
