Ok guys I need help. I own a C5 1999 acutally and I was thinking about putting a DVD player with a GPS tracking system in the
corvette? Has anyone done this? If so which one did you get or recommened? Also what kind of
sound system do you have? I was planning on maybe putting 3 8" subs or just one big butt 12. If
I want with a 12 I was think maybe the 12" Kicker sub that is square. What do you guys think? I
went to one place and they said it would cost me around 12,000 to 17,000 dollars. I just walked
away and another place said less then $7,000 (I like that much better). I love great sound
systems so money is no object. Please tell me what your thoughts our. Thanks
I would definately recomend the Kenwood, the speakers leave you plenty of options open, thats personal choice but i would recomend components in the front and a stealth box in the back
Re: DVD/Sound System for a corvette? (robiferretti)
If you plan to get a system with all of these features ... make sure it is worth it to you... I had this exact unit in my Acura and never used it... I plan to get it for the C5 purely for the Navigation System...that is why I am unsure which unit to get....
If you do get it.... its great.... but it's a lot of money... spend it if you need it... alpine and clarion have cheaper screens w/ CD players and you can hook up a DVD to it... but its not as clean looking and the C5 doesnt have the room for it...
