Default Is there ANY multiple AUX input option for the C5

Does anyone have a solution that will add two or more AUX inputs to the Factory Bose Radio with the 12 CD changer in the back ?
I would like to be able to select my iPod or my Sirrius SAT Radio WITHOUT using a FM modulator.......so looking for RCA inputs.

I have tried the X3......won't work.
Looked at iPod2car but that only handles the iPod not the SAT Radio

Amazing that with thousands of Corvette C5s on the road, it makes one wonder why companies have not figured out a multi input solution for this huge market.

Yes I know I can change the HU,,,,,,,but I really don't want to go that route

IMO best way would be to retain the changer how it is and wire in a relay to allow switching from the changer to an aux input. you could hardwire the same aux input to both the ipod and sirius and as long as you only had one or the other turned on at a time it would work great. Im trying to think of a way to wire a 3 way switch but off the top of my head i cant come up with it but im sure theres a way

OK,

Possible solution......but getting expensive.

If you use an iPod then get the Peripheral iPod2Car PXDP $99.98

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1162

Or

Peripheral iPod2Car (PXDP) Universal interface for iPod™ Product ID: PXDP

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1056

Need the Peripheral PXHGM4 Harness for iPod2Car/Aux2Car in Select 1997-04 Corvette

$17.95

Then for the SAT Radio or other line level device get

Peripherals PX2X Secondary Input device for iPod2car/Aux2car $21.98

http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1048

Should work......but I have been there before and so far nothing has really worked

I used this solution for a month, half way through a trip to Vegas it just stopped working......no CD Changer or SAT. When I got home I rewired it all and the SAT works now, but the changer is still on the fritz.

IF your sucessful, please Post so we can see what you did.

Here are helpful links if you want to try it......make you a deal on the parts, I now have 3 relays

even a wiring diagram

Later I posted asking if anyone could figure out a double relay system based on the original and largodon
posted this but I haven't tried it.

"This should be very easy, you basically are just doubling up the relays from the normal aux in / CD changer mod seen here:
http://www.pqtsi.com/sedona/vetmp3.pdf

I mocked up a quick jpg to show how the 2nd relay would get added in.

the pin hookups are the same as the 1st link, the only changes are getting a second relay and getting a 3 position switch. You may need to experiment with which side of the 1st relay gets the green vs the blue wire (you want the blue wire to be on the 'no power' side of the relay). "

I don't doubt, I must have an issue somewhere.........but I can't locate the problem. Replaced the relay twice, no change. Undid all the wiring, recrimped with new connectors, no fix.

after looking at your schematic briefly (missed it the first time); i agree with penta, that should work. the only thing that the mixer will add is if you eventually add a portable nav system or handsfree kit. you could hook that up to the mixer and have both sources play at the same time.

i bet they have a cheap mixer on ebay.
