Default Finally started my stereo install

Been gathering parts for several months and finally got my *** in gear and started doing stuff. Here's a couple mockups of the amp board with an Audiocontrol DQXS, Butler TD475, the Helix xovers and some "overkill" Knukonceptz distribution and fuse blocks in case I decide to add another amp:

Got some cheap speaker plates off eBay and modified them with an angled tweeter mount:

Raw:

Painted with tweeter cups mounted:

Got the left door speaker mounted, speakers are Helix RS6 bi-wired to the rear mounted xovers in case I decide to go active:

Taped and tie wrapped all the wiring cause I want it to look clean

Oh well, more as I make progress

why bring the wires over the hump instead of through the wire channels at the sides?

love the amp :-)

if you want to add a little bling to it, replace the black fan with a led computer fan. i used blue and the combination of the blue fan with the orange tubes (leds) looks awesome

Looking great, Eric! Maybe this will help accompany the system a little more

BTW, will be shipping tomorrow.

Default Yay, finished!!!

Thanks for the comments! I ran the wires over the hump because it was a more direct route and the carpet has more than enough space to swallow any wiring I might throw at it. Scott FX, thanks for the suggestion on the fan, I might just throw a red LED one in there to match the lighting on the HU Mount. Anyway, I finally got it done, here are some more pics:

And a pic of the NVTHIS sub box with a JL 8W7:

Man I love the way it sounds! Clear and full without being harsh. Sub sounds a bit bloated, I may try a lower xover point or fiddling with the EQ more but other than that I'm happy with it

I am interested in the sound quality of the woofer. I want a little bump for my car, but not like a huge sub hit. How is it working out for you?

Setup looks great Eric! Once you get that sub dialed in, you will be set.
