Been gathering parts for several months and finally got my *** in gear and started doing stuff. Here's a couple mockups of the amp board with an Audiocontrol DQXS, Butler TD475, the Helix xovers and some "overkill" Knukonceptz distribution and fuse blocks in case I decide to add another amp:
Got some cheap speaker plates off eBay and modified them with an angled tweeter mount:
Raw:
Painted with tweeter cups mounted:
Got the left door speaker mounted, speakers are Helix RS6 bi-wired to the rear mounted xovers in case I decide to go active:
Taped and tie wrapped all the wiring cause I want it to look clean
if you want to add a little bling to it, replace the black fan with a led computer fan. i used blue and the combination of the blue fan with the orange tubes (leds) looks awesome
Thanks for the comments! I ran the wires over the hump because it was a more direct route and the carpet has more than enough space to swallow any wiring I might throw at it. Scott FX, thanks for the suggestion on the fan, I might just throw a red LED one in there to match the lighting on the HU Mount. Anyway, I finally got it done, here are some more pics:
An old Eclipse 55040 deadhead in an HUMount:
Mounted:
Amp rack wired and carpeted:
In the car:
And a pic of the NVTHIS sub box with a JL 8W7:
Head unit all lit up:
Man I love the way it sounds! Clear and full without being harsh. Sub sounds a bit bloated, I may try a lower xover point or fiddling with the EQ more but other than that I'm happy with it

Setup looks great Eric! Once you get that sub dialed in, you will be set.
