anyone have any electrical schematics?
I started doing a lot of work on my C5 coupe this year, mostly electrical (audio/video) and I came across a lot of barriers, mostly due to the fact that I don't have any manuals or schematics describing major electrical components (Bose radio, hvac control unit, speaker setup, etc.) and which wire goes where....
does anyone have any such electrical schematics??
right now I'm trying to fix my own HVAC control unit (dual zone) since it failed on me a few days ago so I have no ac or heat and Im driving my car with no center console and wires all over the place...
as for the HVAC control unit, Im trying to find a schematic of the two boards inside, I need to find what each component does..usually I would send it out to someone to fix but since Im in my senior year as an electrical engineering student, I figured I'd save some money and learn a thing or two and do it myself...

I have the full factory manuals, but the schematics for board-level stuff aren't available to your 'average Joe' from what I understand.
What problems were you having with your HVAC control head? Low/no display output? If so, there are 8 surface mount resistors on the power supply section that need to be re-soldered to the PCB. Do a search and you'll find out what I am talking about.
If your HVAC problems were vent related, then you probably have a vacuum leak. If you threw codes and had issues with your hot deck/cold deck, then you probably have a bad actuator.
I am an electronics tech, have my universal HVAC license, and I am going to school for my BSEE while taking some ME classes. I might be able to help you.
