C6 with Nav MP3 playback cuts short
Hello,
I've had a problem with MP3 playback in my 08 C6 with Nav where some tracks don't play all the way until the end. They just stop in the middle and the player moves on to the next track.
This problem appears to be with how the player handles specific MP3s. It is always the same tracks and they always end at the same place - even if I burn them to another disk.
I've seen a few references in other threads to this problem, but I have not seen a definitive cause or solution. This is happening to enough of my tracks that the MP3 player is pretty well useless. I also haven't figured out if this is a common problem, or if it's possible that my player is defective. Of course, these disks all work fine in my other cars, computers, etc.
If I can determine that this is a problem with specific encoding rates or settings, I would be willing to transcode my tracks just for use in the Vette...

It doesn't like variable bitrate encoding. Sometimes it will play them just fine, other times it just gets lost and moves to the next track.
