Default C5 door speaker hole diameter.

Curious how large the hole is in the door for the stock bose woofer. Trying to get an idea of what else might fit.

What is the thickness of your mount and the spacer? Would a cutout of say 7.5 inches fit the hole?

2.25" at the bottom ring. Here's an 8" on the baffle for reference.

Here is my 8" Kicker SSMB in the door. They are shallow enough to clear no problem.

How does that setup compare to stock? Did you go with this setup to avoid using a sub inclosure in the back? I'm thinking about doing something simular and placing the amp behind the seat so I don't lose trunk space.

I actually don't have it finished yet, so I have not heard it. I am planning to use subs, so these will only be playing 80hz+ . I really don't feel that they would be sufficient for anything below that, however I bet they will sound better than the stock set up by far.

As you can see in this picture, you have all kinds of room between the door and the panel.

I was able to mount a tweeter/cup about 1/4" or so off of the driver as you can see. I was also able to mount that big-*** crossover there, too.

If I had to guess, I would say that you have about an inch or so to play with between the door and the door panel.

These are the dimensions from the door to the inside obstructions, like the window, the track, etc...

Hope this helps.
