So i decided to trim my RCA cables because they were about 2 feet too long. After timming them, i noticed that those speaker were playing , but very quietly even with the volume very high.
The heat can melt the insulation of the inner conductor and cause shorts to the shield.
I did solder 15w Was using Knukoncepts Krystal RCAs where there are 2 seperate wires (rather than inner/outer)
I found the source of the problem:
Alpine's MRP F-series 4-channel amplifiers require that all 4 RCA inputs bs used in order to bridge 2 channels together. The wires in Knukoncepts RCA splitter APPEARED to match up to the RCA wires....however this is not the case. What happened is that essentially i was telling the amp to play in phase and out of phase at the same time: the result was barily audiable sound, but it was there.
The problem has since been corrected and i now have the super powerful midrange i've been missing
