I have done the TSS Sirius swap, very poor reception, I followed the directions of useing the Yellow antenna wire only and leaveing the green aside, of course both the green and yellow were in the XM receiver. I wonder if the green and yellow are both antenna wires comming from the left and right side mirrors, if that were to be the case, it would mean that following the directions would result in only one mirror antenna hooked up, maybe that would explain my poor reception with the Sirius receiver. Does anyone know ?
I tend to agree, drove 170 miles Sat, early in the morning no issues, later in the afternoon cut out many times, any overpass no matter how small or far away cut out for a few moments, I took off the waterfall today, I have a vert, and hooked up the
sirius antenna, put it in the windshild and worked o.k., but not great, with the top up reception was in and out. I read somewhere someone put it up under the rear bumper cover, might not be a bad choice if I can figure how to do it, any suggestions what to do with out comming through the firewall, and without taking the interior of the car apart.
mine is double back taped to the top of the center vent on the left side, I have no reception problems so far, and it gets a signal in my garage which my roof mounted ant on my SUV doesn't.
