Default Peripheral GMCO illumination wire(s) question....

Help!

I am wiring up a new head unit harness to a Peripheral GMCO and the peripheral unit has two orange wires... One orange with white stripe (marked 'dimmer' ) and one solid orange (marked 'dash illumination'). The Pioneer harness has a single orange wire with white stripe marked "ILL". So, the obvious question, which of the peripheral wires goes to the pioneer harness, or both? Both seems strange to me, and though logically orange with stripe should go to orange with stripe, but it's the labeling that has me confused. And the sheet that came with the GMCO does not show this wire.

So, please, HELP!

snag the brown wire off the active handling switch and connect that to the orange ILL on the pioneer. (assuming you're a C6?)

I can't answer the GMCO ?'s. Sorry.

I'm really just tagging along hoping his pioneer will have alternator whine too and he'll be able to fix it unlike me

Yes, both but I don't want to clutter his thread any more.
