Some Audio Upgrade Guidence Needed
OK, I modified my center console and installed a AVIC-Z2. I love it but it sounds like crap with my bose factory speakers. I need some advice on what you recommend for replacing the front speakers, rear speakers, a 10" sub in a stealth box and an amp.
A local stereo place told me about $1500 for boston speakers, jcl sub and a who knows amp all installed with insulation and amp rack.
Please help me out here

boy, idk, not lookin for anything too heavy. I like classic rock and alternative. Just looking for something much better sounding that factory but I just don't know much about audio and feel like I'm being taken in the audio store cause i just dont know

if your budget is 2k tops i would go with an Image Dynamics ID series or IDQ series 10" sub with 2 sets of Image Dynamics XS65's up front and the XS 5 1/4" in the rear with an Arc Audio 6/5 Channel amp, with a stealth box down in the spare tire/t-top well in the rear.. this an awesome set up for you, PLENTY of volume (while still retaining fantastic clarity at any level). The XS components are amazing, the midbass that these speakers produce is just retarted, and if you have a loud exhaust these are perfect for you because they do achieve such high volume.

ill pull up some stuff for ya later tonite or tomorrow, this is deff doable for way under ur budget. 1k gets u some pretty nice stuff IMO. some guys will recommend 2k worth of speakers etc but u really dont need it this is a vette its not a concert hall
