I am a home audio dealer and I can get focal speakers, but because my rep. doesnt know a speaker from a tire I need help on sizing exct. What are the stock speakers sizes. The polyflex line has the tweet atatched to the mid. I assume this is how the blose speakers are. If I went up to the polyglass or polykevlar series the tweet is seperate. Where would I put the tweet. I dont want to make a custom inclosure. Is there enough difference between the series to validate the price difference. Also, the rear stock speakers are in a polygone shape. How the hell would I get focal in the rear. PLease help me
Stock you have 2 8 inch subs in the door with 3 1/2 speakers over them
in the rear they are standard 6 1/2 on each side.
Your option would be to replace the fronts with 6 1/2 compontents or Put 2 8 inch subs in the door with a 4 inch over them. THat is what I have. You get great mid bass and a full staging area.
The focal speakers are made in France and because of that their measurements are in milimeters instead of inches. You will have to convert. Also, they need to be different and instead of offering the standard woofer sizes of 8, 10, 12, 15, etc, they offer 11, 13, etc. Friggin French. Great stuff but it might be a little harder to translate than other makers. Get speakers from the Polykevlar or Utopia lines and they will sound great. I believe the 6 1/2" polykevlar seperates # is the 165k2. Also look at http://www.euro-watt.com for some info as well as the focal site. http://www.focal.com Care to set up a Group purchase for everyone on seperates sets?
