upgrading C6 stereo with factory cd changer Help pls
Heres my plan, keep stock cd changer, add aftermarket amp, throw the bose amp in trash were it should have been in first place.
Replace all factory speakers, put 6.5 inch component in doors and 5.25 speakers in rear. Disconnecting center speaker
1. Is the only way to put in the aftermarket amp the PAC ADD-GM24 harness? Can i use the factory wires going to the bose amp since its being replaced completly anyway?
2. Will a three way 5.25 component set fit in the doors? or am i stuck with two way 6.5? Ive found door mounting plates for the 6.5 but no others so far
3. Is the digital alpine amp the only one known to fit in the cubby hole spot? I still want to be able to put top in hatch is there another spot for amp to go?
4. Ive always had subs with stereo set up, am i going to be disappointed getting rid of the cheap low 10inch bose in the door for the 6.5's?
The GMAA2 is totally plug and play at behind the radio and eliminates the need to splice at all

3 way set should fit prly be kinda tight but should be doable, worst case cut the fiberglass a bit
some will put amps on the shelf right behind the seats as it doesnt interfere with top, some amps can be squeazed onto the back wall, otherwise cubby it is unless u just mount it where in the trunk. Arc Mini would also fit prly
ive done 130 dollar 6.5" components in the doors and had similar bass output over the bose 10" sub
we found out we dont need box but some cars will get alt whine and its a bear to get rid of as the box does some isolation
the sven4 is a universal piece has no eq issues at all but has the filters in place to prevent noise etc. the gmaa2 is a harness and the sven4 sold as one piece making it plug and play
