No talk radio
I have a Kenwood 7019 unit which is really nice but the am doesn't work. A couple shops have told me that the original Bose amp boosted the am signal and that the Kenwood doesn't. No one has a solution yet.
Any help for a '04 C5 coupe ? I gutted the entire Bose system and run a Audison amp.

I have a similar problem with my Jensen. Weak windshield antenna seems to be the culprit.
ill pull up the info, the problem is there are 2 wires for OEM antenna booster a 12 volt which everyoen is hooking up generally behidn headunit then a 5volt trigger which u need to wire up as well
1) If it is a 5V signal that turns on the antenna booster, is the 12V now coming from my Jensen radio, doing harm to the logic ? (5V is logic 1 and 0V is logic 0)
2) Am I misunderstanding , or does the drivers seat need to be removed to get at this antenna module?
3) Could a simple resistor from the pink wire in series be used to create the 5V logic 1 ? Normally with computer chips any voltage between 3.5V and 5V are logic 1 (ON).
