Iphone 3G owners, what cable are you using?
OK, my car had an ipod cable installed to the factory Bose when I bought it and it has worked fine with my 1st generation iphone. Well, exactly 1 week after my 1 year warranty ran out on the iphone, it's giving me problems and the screen is cracked. Was gonna upgrade to the 3G model but they changed the damn pin out on the connector, gotta love Apple
I tried a friend's 3G and it will play the music but it won't charge it at the same time like with the 1st gen iphone, which really pi$$es me off. However, I DO love the iphone, don't know how I ever lived without it now. Is there an adapter that lets the old style cable or dock work with the new 3G? Or is there a newer 3G specific interface cable I can buy? I really hope someone makes an adapter, I hear the battery life is a concern with the 3G and I don't want to have to buy a new phone AND another ipod to listen to my music in the car when the phone battery dies on a long trip.
