Hi everyone i have two amps hookd up to my c6 with factory nav. Im wondering is there a way to have the amps stay on even if the car is not running( like if im in aux power mode?) Right now when i go into aux mode the amps turn off and only the bose amp stays on which means only 3 speakers are on. Is there a way around this? I did a search and couldent find anything any help would be great thanks everyone

If you want it tied to RAP see if you can find a Peripheral GMRAP module. Its output is switched 12V and it reads the serial bus for the RAP signal to determine on/off. You use that as your amp trigger and you should be all set.
If all you want is it to run in AUX mode (as opposed to staying on until the doors are opened when shut off) then you just need to move the 12V trigger to a circuit that is on in AUX like the wiper circuit or heated seats, which are both in the passenger footwell.
at the radio harness use the white wire from the big harness, this is teh wire the radio uses to turn factory amp on and off, this means ur amp wont turn off instantly when u turn radio/car off prly 45 second dealay or so, also when u unlock the car the amp will turn on as well
basically just use the white wire side effects shouldnt effect anything

Ok i talkd to my installer and he said the white wire does nothing he was looking at it when he was thinking of away to tap into it to power up the amps in aux mode? Does this sound right do i need to buy a part to make it run on aux mode?thanks for any help

As I stated above, if all you want is an amp trigger then either use an add-a-circuit or just tie the wire off to the fuse in the wiper circuit. This is in the fuse box in the passenger footwell, just flip down the carpet to reveal it. There's a diagram there of the fuse boxes and it will show you which is the wiper. That is what I used until I swapped out for an aftermarket head so I know it works.
i just ran my remote wire from my amp to the heated seat fuse, that way whenever the radio was on in aux. the amp is on. pretty simple to do. I dont know where your insatller has it ran now but that would be a simple way. good luck
thanks for all the help everyone. i talkd to my installer and he said he can do it but all so said that problems can come from this does this sound right?
