I have a 94 C4 with Bose CD. I have been considering pulling this antique out of the car and redoing the system... I am a complete audio rookie. I want a system that includes Satellite radio and CD mainly. I do not want a super fancy display (like a flip out TV). I want a little more power than the Bose but I am in my mid-40's and don't need amps as big as a suitcase. I want quality sound over sheer power! I do understand that I will need to rewire the entire system. I have some concern about fitment of speakers. I will sit back and listen to you guys.

Jeff,
The first thing I would recommend you do is to read the C4 sticky at the top of the section. Lot's of good info there. For a head unit, I would recommend either a Alpine or Eclipse. Pioneer Premier is a nice unit also, all of these unit use a separate tuner for sat. radio. For an Amp, consider an Alpine PDX model, small, but powerful. Speakers are very subjective, I would go somewhere w/ a large selection, take your favorite CD, and listen. You can fit 5.25" speakers into the enclosures for the stock speakers in the front, and if you use components, you put the tweeter any were. Take a look at the "What do you run" sticky at the top of this section. In the rear, you can fit 6.5 round speakers, or go with 8" subs, but you would need to make a mount out of wood.
Crutchfield is a good place to look at this stuff, but their prices are expensive. To purchase things like this, I would go to your local Best Buy, Circuit City and the like.
Hope this helps
