Avic-f700bt

Anyone replace an earlier AVIC unit (AVIC D1) with the AVIC-F700BT? If so is it essentially a clean swap? Same dimensions, install instructions, etc?

u will have to use the new wiring harness but otherwise should swap right in, should even be able to use the same antenna

I believe it is the same harness for power and speakers, it is just the rca harness that is differnet

I just did a swap for a frend of mine we removed his AVIC D3 and installed a AVIC F 900BT. The GPS antenna connection was different, RCA Signal harness was different main power and speaker harness was the same but we went ahead and installed the new one. We had to remove his bluetooth connect box the new Avic has it built in also the IPOD connect interface cable was different. I have installed lot of Pioneer AVIC units all of the new F series harness are the same. Just removed my 900BT and install a 90BT the the higher volt pre amp out puts it was all plug and play.

Anyone have pic's of a AVIC is a 1990 or later C4 vette?
