Default Need some help

I'm hooking up a F90bt in my 04 Z06. Radio powers up, plays, but the speakers are not being amplified. I have sound, but only low volume. if I turn the volume up, it's very distorted. it says it's a sven4 premium 4ch adjustable line output converter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes I did. My son helped me hook it up. seemed pretty simple.Match the wire colors for the speakers. It did not come with instructions and there are 2 wires not sure where/if they should be connected. A blue and a orange wire.

I don't have a wire marked "amp turn on".

yes, found that on. it says 'remote" and is a blue and white wire coming out of the harness with the rca jacks. I didn't think I needed that harness. That didn't do the trick though. Does the orange wire coming from the gm adaptor harness get hooked up to anything?

nope orange isnt used

it is deff that svhgm4 harness, i would recommend going to an autozone or bestbuy or something and getting a gm harness for a late model chevy ex a 97 cavalier and u can wire that up in conjunction with the sven4 and send that svhgm4 harness back and it will sound great

just a generic aftermarket radio harness metra makes most of them but they are all the same, prly wont list a vette on the packaging so ask for a harness for a 97 cavalier or s10, autozone if u have one local will have them for like 10 bucks vs closer to 20 at best aka worst buy

ok read all this first before proceeding

wire the red accessory wire from the radio like u did previously

then wire the metra harness by matching all the colors being certain to connect the blue wire from the harness to that remote wire on your radio

at this point all ur speakers will work but the door subs will not, and the speakers should sound fine also not all distorted

ok now on both sides of the sven4 you will use the plugs with the wires (not the rca ends), set the input side to wired, output to rca, and set the gain adjustments to max

take the grey & grey w/black and white & white w/black from the input side and tie those in with the wiring from the metra and radio harness so for those 4 wires you will have the sven4 wiring, radio wiring, and gm harness wiring (the one with black strip from sven4 is negative)

take the purple and green wires from the input side and tape them off we wont be using them

Ok now on the output side of the sven4 tape off the purple and green pairs as before. now we have 4 wires left and they will be spliced into the bose subs plug, of the 2 smaller plugs from the radio it is the bigger one
the white w/black and grey w/black go to the light blue from the bose plug
the white goes to tan/black
the grey goes to light green/black

should have everything working if bose subs are too loud u can dial them down from the gain *****

I appreciate the help! I woosed out and just let bestbuy do it. They charged me $60 including new harness. it was worht it. The only thing I don't like is key has to be on for radio to power(wont power in acc) and the RAP feature is inop. other than that, I love the F90.

did u give them my directions or no, i guess 60 really isnt that bad since they basically installed it for you. You always lose RAP unless u get an add on, i would go back there is no reason for it to not work in accesory

Unfortunately, I took it to them before I saw your post. I really do appreciate you taking the time though, had I saw it first, I would have tried it. But, the 60$ included their harness, and I already changed the power source so it works on acc. Thanks again.
