Default To Sub or not to Sub???

I'm upgrading my stock C6 NAV Bloze system in my Convertible.
My plans include:

ARC 125.4 mini amp w/
Infinity 6-3/4" Kappa components in the doors

Now the decision.
I have designed a sealed box for a 8" sub that fits great in the rear driver side storage compartment. I would bridge the rear output for 250w to drive the sub.

OR

Do I mount 5-1/4" Infinity Kappa's in the stock locations behind the seats?

Will I get decent bass response from the Kappa components in the doors?
I'm not looking for bass to thump my brains out. I have Borla stingers for that.

I'd get a sub, but a single 8... that's going to be close to nothing. Maybe not even very audible over road noise.

I can make room for 2 @ 8"/2 Ohm, but I'm trying to keep as much room as possible in the trunk.

I might just do the inside of the doors. I would like to add as little weight as possible. BTW most of the time I drive with the top down and I have stingers.

I've designed a .65 ported box for an 8" sub that takes up very little room. I will be cutting the parts next week on our CNC router. I hope the ported box will give me a little more volume from the 8".

I'm also looking for decent component speakers for the doors that have above average mid-bass. Any suggestions?

midbass is a factor of install and tuning, more than it is speaker selection. But when it comes to midbass, go big or go home.

I put in a stealthbox with an upgraded 10" sub, makes a huge difference even with the stock speakers still in the doors. I am glad I put an adjustable gain under the dash though.
