I have a Bose Premium no OnStar. Using the harness that came with 8120. do I have to connect the front speakers to the harness wires with no rca plugs or can I or (should) use the aux connections with the rca plugs and the GMCO add on. Thanks

You can and should use the RCA's on the GMCO.
If you wind up with alternator whine or popping noises you may wind up having to put ground loop isolators on each set of those GMCO's, but that seems to vary by car.
