Default 1984 radio replacement ???'s

Many years ago at Carlisle I ran into a vendor who was selling Delco radio/cd players that were a direct fit replacement for the early C4 cars. The vendor was "Corvette Specialist" from Powder Springs, GA. I'm thinking they told me the units were from certain Cadillac models and maybe a few other GM products. I did manage to write down a few numbers from the back of these cd upgrade units. They are 16175961 and 16200324. I'm thinking that the 16200324 is the one they recommended.

Has anyone ever heard of this or performed this swap? Are there adapter harnesses required?
