Hey guys. After 7 months of puting up with what was discribed here on this forum as a 2 year old singing into a tin can, I'm pulling the trigger on some stereo upgrades. I'm new at the self install thing. My previous Vette, I had Rick Reus over at Reus Systems install one of his full blown system. New car now and after endless reading on this site and others, I'm just as confused as when I started. I've already torn up the back of my Z and installed sound deadining material. Starting on the front now. That is where the questions come in. First, I've got to say, some of your stereo's and amp racks are way over the top.
What I'm looking for is some way of keeping (yes) the original head unit. I have a non Bose system. the car is an 08 Z06. I'd like to replace the rear speakers and the fronts with some Focals. Add an amp with an amp rack that fits behind the passenger seat. Am I just blowing smoke up my, you know, or is this possible. Oh great wise men of this forum, please send me down the right and proper track.
Cheers
Steve
